Choo-Choo Charlie’s – Kenosha, WI

Choo-Choo Charlie’s is an AWESOME place for families to eat that have kids who adore trains…. but, be sure you don’t overlook this restaurant if you’re an adult!  While planning our visit to Kenosha, Choo-Choo Charlie’s caught my eye immediately.  I love unique places, and having your food delivered in a basket behind a toy train is not something you see every day.

My husband and I went to Choo-Choo Charlie’s for breakfast, and right away I loved the atmosphere.  The restaurant is in the train station, which adds to the charm.  The inside of the restaurant has a ticket window near the door and a train track along the upper perimeter of the dining area that has a train running while you eat.  The main attraction though, is the train on the track that delivers your food.

Service was great, Jayson our waiter (& an owner) was so friendly.  He encouraged us to draw on the paper table cloths while we waited for our food, which was very entertaining.  This restaurant helps bring you back to the joys of childhood and being care-free which is rare.

Since the weather was quite brisk, I ordered a hot chocolate, and my husband ordered a coffee.  We thoroughly enjoyed these while focusing on our crayon masterpieces on the tables.  I then ordered French toast sticks and bacon for breakfast, and my husband got the Veggie omelet.  The food was served quickly, and seeing the train delivering the order was the best part.  The train goes past your table and once it stops at the end of the tracks, the waiter collects the food and delivers it to your table.  We got our picture taken in front of the train, then went on to enjoy our meals!

After an enjoyable outing, we said goodbye, and Jayson caught us before we left to let us pull the train whistle.  Lets be real, you are never too old to enjoy a train themed restaurant, and the chance to pull a train whistle.

We loved our time at Choo-Choo Charlie’s, and would definitely go back!

This is quite a cute theme restaurant. I would love to see the train that delivers your food. Quite a unique thing. And the plus further being that the food is also good. Cheers to that

The food looks so yummy. Plus the restaurant interior design has been done with cute nitty gritties.

SUPER cute restaurant! I’d love to visit with my niece. So nice that they allow you to draw and paint on the table while your food arrives. The idea of serving in a train setup is so unique! I am sure the kids loved it!
