Craft & Spice Market – Grenada

Grand Anse Beach is a very popular, and incredibly gorgeous beach to visit in Grenada.  There are SO MANY things to do on Grand Anse, it is amazing.  Walking along the smooth sand, taking a dip in the picturesque waters, or lounging in the sun is a great relaxing way to spend the day.  But it’s worth taking a further stroll down the beach to explore what is all around!

The Grand Anse Craft & Spice Market is a fun place to visit if you’re looking for souvenirs for yourself or to bring as gifts for someone back home.  There are a lot of vendors in the craft market, and although there are some spice packages or crafts that may be found at several of the booths, they also have unique inventories, so walk through and check out the variety of shops.

Esther’s Beach Bar is also located at the Craft & Spice Market, it’s booth #6 and is on the left of the market shortly after you walk in from the beach entrance.  They serve a lot of delicious drinks, my favorite are the Mojitos!

Since Grenada is known for their nutmeg, I made sure to get some for everyone back home.  They had some really cute souvenirs that had nutmeg packaged with a little grinder.  They also had neat little spice sampler kits which often times included a nutmeg in the package as well.

I found so many awesome gifts to bring home for family and friends in the market.  Tea towels, beach towels, jewelry, dolls, and clothing were just a few of the fun things to shop for.

Tip:  If you can, try to visit the Craft & Spice Market when a cruise is NOT in the port.  Although not all of the booths are open during the quieter hours, I enjoyed shopping when things were less crowded.  If you’re on a cruise when you visit though, it’s still fun to stop by!
