Lincoln Park Zoo – Chicago, IL

The weather was gorgeous this past weekend, so what better way to spend it than with a trip to the zoo!  Lincoln Park Zoo is a free zoo in Chicago, Illinois.  We visited the zoo late on Sunday morning and stayed a few hours, and it was very busy!  Lots of animals to see, gift shops, food, and of course a beautiful view of the skyline visible from several pathways at the zoo.  There was a huge variety of species at the zoo, and some construction underway for a future exhibit.

Keep in mind if visiting the zoo that you will have to pay for parking.  The lot by the zoo was $30 (at least at that time), but when you consider the zoo entrance itself was free it is overall a pretty frugal outing.
