While in Cape Town, we spent a <rainy> morning at the botanical gardens. There are several well-groomed and beautiful trails to walk along, and it is a pretty large place! We had to leave after a couple of hours and only went through about 1/3 of the park. If we had more time in South Africa, I could see spending a longer time at the botanical gardens to leisurely read the signs and take in the beauty. Even though there weren’t many flowers blooming there was still a lot to see.
My favorite part of the gardens was walking along the Treetop canopy walkway. Unfortunately due to the misty/rainy weather, the views from the walkway weren’t as clear for us, but I can imagine they’d be spectacular on a sunny and clear day. The wind was crazy on the canopy walk, I was surprised nobody in my group lost any hats or sunglasses
The rain lightened up ever now and then, so we did get some nice glimpses of the vegetation.
This spot, at one of the entrances to the walkway was just so gorgeous. This is where I’d be hanging out if we spent the whole day at the gardens.
