Minneapolis – a quick visit

Minneapolis is a really neat city, with such a wide variety of activities to do.  Anytime I’m in that area I try to get a trip to Ikea in, and totally loved shopping at Patina last time.  But, when I was visiting a friend, I got to see some of the other cool things in Minneapolis that I didn’t even realize were there!  Like this waterfall,  (Minnehaha Falls) I wasn’t expecting to see a waterfall of that size when still in the city for whatever reason.  It was so pretty, and very cool trails to walk around and check it out.  After wandering around a bit we stopped off and got tacos, super cool way to spend an afternoon.

I had seen pictures of the sculpture park, but finally got to check it out for myself.  Pretty cool too!  It’s also kind of funny place for people watching since many enjoy for example lining themselves up so it looks like they’re holding the spoon or the cherry or something for the sculpture shown below.  Those pictures always turn out cute.

We wandered around and saw some of the other large landmarks of the city, and even rented kayaks and a paddle board and went out for a couple hours.  So many things to do, & good times!  My visit was during the summertime, but I’m curious to go again sometime in the fall or winter.  I imagine the city is very pretty and has a different variety of activities to try!
