On the 6th day of our trip to Singapore, we finally made it down to the river front and did a Singapore River Cruise! This was high on my list of things to do, and was a lot of fun. The boat had a video and recording that played as we went down the river. It was a cool way to learn a little history about the iconic buildings.
After the river cruise, we walked to Raffles Hotel to get an Original Singapore Sling! Sadly the Long Bar is currently closed for renovation. We were still able to enjoy our drinks at another bar in the hotel. Gorgeous hotel & fun atmosphere. The drinks are definitely pricey, at least compared to what I’m used to. It was still worth a visit in my opinion though!
After our Singapore Slings, we walked to China town & then Little India
In China Town, we started out getting fruit juice and then went shopping. We bought a fan that the shop artist wrote our name on in Chinese, and also a paper cutout portrait of us, which was kind of a cool souvenir.
Next, we went to Little India and ate lunch, which was delicious. After all the walking in the hot afternoon sun, we ended up taking an Uber back to our hotel for a bit of a break, before taking an Uber to the Jurong Bird Park.
Our visit here was pretty rushed, as we only had about 1.5-2 hours before they closed. We took the tram to the waterfall area of the park and then walked the rest of the loop to get a quick view of everything we could. You certainly could spend a lot longer at the park!
We did a lot of walking from one activity to the next, so a quick afternoon nap was needed!
