  “Is this Heaven?  No, it’s Iowa”  It has been a long time since I saw the movie Field of Dreams.  But, when we were driving through Iowa on our way to a wedding and had a couple hours to kill, I was SO EXCITED to make a pit stop in Dyersville to check out the film location.

“If you build it he will come”

It was so awesome to see a group of people out on the field playing baseball (I wish I brought my glove!)  And there were others sitting on the bleachers eating and just hanging out, it was such a cool atmosphere.

My husband was constantly quoting the movie (which was lost on me, poor guy!  I really need to watch it again) and we had fun posing for pictures, even though we were slightly over dressed for the occasion :)

We used a GPS to find the site, and that was an adventure in itself.  We were led to several “roads” that appeared to just be a couple tire tracks in the middle of a corn field, but after turning around several times and eventually seeing signs, we made it!  Definitely would be a fun place to hang out longer, especially with kids.
